Cavalry Fans wish Friday Happy Birthday!

Bryan/College Station, Texas (June 17, 2017)-   After a two game roadtrip, the Cavalry Football Club returned to Nutrabolt Stadium to face the Oklahoama City Energy, and to celebreate a good friends birthday. 

Saturday marked the first birthday of the teams beloved mascot, Friday! Fans in attendance sang happy birthday to Friday during halftime and were treated to a show featuring Friday and all his close friends, including minions and Olaf the Snowman from Disney's Frozen. Friday spent the day meeting friends and fans alike, a perfect way to spend a birthday!

The Cavalry defense held strong the first twenty minutes, not allowing many quality chances for the Engery attackers. The 18 year old goalie, Fetterly also had a strong start for the Cavalry. In the 23rd minute of the game Louis Thomas set Rimario up with a perfect pass for the tying goal., Rimario scored his fifth goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.  Rimario leads the Cavalry in goals. 

The Oklahoma City Energy would go on to win the game by a final score of 6-1, keeping their 2017 record perfect. The Cavalry drop to 3-4-0. The Cavalry are in action again on June 22nd at Nutrabolt to take on instate rival, Houston FC, and also play on June 24th, when they host Texas United and wrap up the homestand on June 28th agaisnt FC Cleburne.
