Cavalry FC Bounce Back To Beat FC Knights

Bryan/College Station, Texas – June 5, 2018 – The Brazos Valley Cavalry did not dwell on their loss from Saturday long, bouncing back in a big way against the UPSL club FC Knights. The Cavalry sent waves of attacks throughout the game, scoring early and often as the club put on a show for the home crowd at Travis Field.

The Cavalry’s captain for this game, Jesus Ortiz set the tone early, scoring in the 5th minute and giving the club confidence they would carry through the game. That example would lead to a pair of goals by forward Jalen Anderson in the 7th and 9th minute, giving the Cavalry a 3-0 lead before the 10 minute mark of the match. Ortiz continued his hot half, tallying another two goals in the first half to give him a first half hat trick and the Cavalry a 5-0 lead at the half.

Ortiz did not cool off during the break, scoring another goal in the 50th minute, and the Cavalry a 6-0 lead. FC Knights would end the shutout in the 60th minute when Nicorey Warren got one past the Cavalry keeper. The scoring would conclude with Alli adding a goal for FC Knights and Beto Soto putting the FC Knights defense on skates to score a highlight goal for the Cavalry and make the score 7-2.

The next match for the Cavalry will be this Saturday, June 9th at 7:30PM at Travis Field in a PDL clash against the Corpus Christi FC. This will mark the first game between these two clubs in club history.
