Bryan/College Station, Texas – April 25, 2018 – As the 2018 season draws closer, the Brazos Valley Cavalry FC are happy to welcome back Matt Dorsey and Mason Schuster to the team. Both were members of the inaugural Cavalry team in 2017. On top of this exciting announcement, the Cavalry FC are also pleased to add Alejandro Saez to the roster for the upcoming campaign.

Matt Dorsey, a redshirt junior at the University of New Mexico, brings back a seasoned presence to the Cavalry midfield. Aside from being one of 6 players to reach double figures in games played, Dorsey was the lone Cavalry midfielder to register over 700 minutes. Matt’s 2017 season also saw him score 2 goals and log 1 assist. After recording 17 appearances for the Lobos last fall, the Cavalry FC are thrilled to see Matt return.

Mason Schuster, a junior midfielder at the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, rejoins the Cavalry looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2017. After logging crucial minutes in 3 early games last summer, Schuster missed the remainder of the inaugural Cavalry season, as well as his entire sophomore term at UNCW. Mason’s prior youth experience with the Dynamo Academy will prove vital as he aims to bring energy to the Cavalry this summer.

Alejandro Saez, a freshman defender at the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, will join Mason down in the Brazos Valley. The Venezuelan native and Houston Dynamo Academy product saw plenty of action in his first season with the Seahawks, making 14 appearances this past fall. Saez’s extensive background with the Dynamo Academy has the Cavalry FC excited to add him to the squad.
