Bryan/College Station, Texas – April 27, 2018 – The Brazos Valley Cavalry FC are excited to announce four additions to its 2018 roster. Billy Jones, Grayson Dupont, and Noah Abrams are set to make their Cavalry FC debuts, while Stuart Close returns to build off his 2017 performance with the club.

Stuart Close, a sophomore defender from Aberdeen, Scotland, will be coming back to the Brazos Valley for a second season, after recording 6 starts in 7 appearances with the Cavalry in 2017. A primary option at center back, Stuart suffered through injury woes that kept him out of the second half of the campaign, as well as his fall collegiate season with Cal-State Northridge. The Houston Dynamo Academy product looks to use this summer as an opportunity to re-introduce his budding potential.

Billy Jones, a redshirt freshman from the University of New Mexico, travels down to the Brazos Valley after a successful first season with the Lobos. The New Zealand midfielder started in all 17 games played and later was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. With such a promising start to his collegiate career, the Cavalry FC are interested in seeing how Jones progresses this summer.

Grayson Dupont, another redshirt freshman from the University of New Mexico, comes to the Cavalry with a season of PDL experience under his belt. Previously with the Albuquerque Sol in 2017, Dupont garnered a goal and assist in 12 games played. After making 5 midfield appearances with New Mexico last fall, Grayson is eager to continue his development in the Lone Star State.

Noah Abrams, a freshman goalkeeper out of Northeastern University, will also join the Cavalry with previous PDL experience. After recording 2 appearances with FA Euro New York last summer, Abrams earned 4 collegiate starts this past fall, making 12 saves in the process. The London, England native will look to make a splash this coming season down in the Brazos Valley.
