Cavalry Draw At Houston FCHouston, Texas – June 13, 2018 – In a back and forth matchup, the Brazos Valley Cavalry earned a point on the road against Houston FC. The Cavalry continue to be unbeaten on the road and have earned at least a point in all but one of their matchups. The best chances for the Cavalry came right after halftime, where the team earned two penalty kicks but were unable to convert either opportunity. The Cavalry put a great deal of pressure on the Houston defense in both the first half and early in the second half, however the home team was able to remain strong and prevent the Cavalry from breaking through. Houston FC turned the tide in the latter part of the second half, achieving the best opportunities of the night for the home side. However, the strength of the Cavalry this season, their back line, continued their stellar play and kept a clean sheet. The last opportunity of the night came from Beto Soto, who off a great ball from Miguel Velasquez had a great one on one opportunity against the Houston keeper but was stonewalled to keep the scoreless draw. Next up for the Cavalry is a home fixture against the OKC Energy U23 squad, the club who was dominant last season in PDL play. The game will be played this Saturday at Travis Field at 7:30, and tickets are available online.
