Cavalry make it three straight winsHouston – British International School of Houston (May 27, 2019)– A Kyle Edwards brace ensured Brazos Valley Cavalry took maximum points from their road game against Albion Hurricanes. The striker opened the scoring on nineteen minutes when a long ball forward from defender Mark Lindstrom was met by the prolific Edwards and he fired beyond Daniel Bermingham in the Hurricanes goal. Cavalry doubled their advantage on the stroke of halftime when Devin Boyce evaded four challenges before picking Thomas Menke out at the far post who headed home from close range. The second half began the same way the first ended with Cavalry in the ascendency and with just three minutes played Kyle Edwards had his second and the Cavalry’s third of the evening. A Devin Boyce corner looked routine for Bermingham to collect but he dropped the ball off the top of his defender, before Edwards was on hand to poke home from close range. Cavalry are next in action on Saturday 1st June 2019, when we travel to face Corpus Christi FC, kick-off is at 7pm. |
